TricorBraun Uses 360° Product Photography to Enhance the Online Customer Experience

Snap36 has announced that Packaging Options Direct (POD), the e-commerce division of global packaging solutions leader TricorBraun, has experienced a significant rise in website traffic and sales since partnering with Snap36 to add 360° product photography to its website.

POD selected Snap36, a provider of 360° photography services and equipment, to spearhead an enhanced content initiative that delivers a world class e-commerce experience and helps customers visually understand the packaging solutions provided on packagingoptionsdirect.com. In addition, POD recognized Snap36’s ability to create 360° photography for a high-volume of products, while keeping up with inventory growth. POD is committed to creating 360° product images for its complete product line by the end of the second quarter, and will continue to utilize 360° imagery for new products that are constantly being added to the site.

“We have been ramping up our inventory significantly since the end of last year, we wanted to find the best way to bring the product details to life to help our customers easily find the packaging solutions they are looking for” said Brian Bettcher, Vice President of E-Commerce at TricorBraun. “We recognized a need and an opportunity to provide more information through a visual format, and that is what 360° photography does for our products.”

Based on customer feedback, POD is already seeing the impact that 360° photography, providing visitors with the ability to closely examine details, unique shapes, and sizes of all packaging solutions available on the site. POD recently released information regarding its enhanced content initiative, stating that the company has experienced positive results, including a considerable growth in website traffic and sales since adding 360° product photography to its website.

“Some of our more popular categories such as glass liquor bottles and dispensing closures have benefited the most from the enhanced content and are seeing significant sales growth,” said Nicholas Jager, ecommerce manager, POD. “It’s all about enhancing the customer experience.
